Background

European road operators and authorities teamed up with the European Commission in the EasyWay initiative to foster European harmonisation of ITS, delivering prominent results such as the DATEX II standards and VMS harmonisation specifications. ITS Deployment Guidelines were adopted by all EW Member States after a unique consultation and mediation process for use in ITS implementation projects with European added value on the TEN-T road network. This website provides all information needed to follow the EasyWay projects and achievements.
